This scent is dark, edible, addictive, and scintillating, the perfect compliment to Scorpio's nature. Ylang-ylang, vanilla, and cacao are known as aphrodisiacs. Scorpio is a complex sign. Sure, it is associated with sex and death. In fact, the French phrase, "Le petite mort" translates to "the little death" and is a euphemism for an orgasm. But Scorpio is also linked with transformation, power, and alchemy. Most Scorpios that I know quarrel with the very spirits that they are responsible for summoning. The less evolved ones get all too caught up in the lower energies of lust and power (over others) without understanding that the reason that they possess such strong desires is that those desires are intended to serve as a compass and a catalyst for self-mastery and inner power.
Scorpio needs to embrace those powerful forces that make them feel as if they are losing control. The emotional discomfort that results is a helpmate, not a destroyer. There is a wonderful quote by Pema Chödrön, who has a triple conjunction involving her Venus (love), Sun (ego), and Pluto (transformation; Scorpio's ruler). She says, "Only to the extent that we expose ourselves over and over to annihilation can that which is indestructible be found in us." This is the goal for Scorpio. To lean into the vices and embrace the destruction from the tower of wisdom and not from the footstool of folly. Be honest as there is untold strength in vulnerability. Life will give you an opportunity to set your world on fire and to arise from the ashes...reborn.
